Description
For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module and had experienced physical or sexual abuse, DVHFRNDM (D119T) indicates whether they sought help from a male friend to stop that abuse.
Universe
- Burkina Faso 2010: Women age 15-49 who were selected for the domestic violence module and who have experienced physical violence from someone other than their husband since they were 15, have been physically hurt by someone during pregnancy, or have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual violence from their husband or partner at any point in time.
- Cote d'Ivoire 2011: Women age 15-49 who were selected for the domestic violence module and who have experienced physical violence from someone other than their husband since they were 15, have been physically hurt by someone during pregnancy, or have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual violence from their husband or partner at any point in time.
- Ghana 2008: Women age 15-49 who were selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, and who were ever forced sexually or experienced physical violence since age 15.
