Comparability — Nepal [top]
According to the DHS Final Report for the 1996 Nepal sample, "[A] woman who mixed a full packet of Jeevan Jal with one litre, or two manas, or six tea glasses of water is considered as having prepared Jeevan Jal correctly." ORSWATERAMT reports the number of containers the respondent used to prepare the ORS solution.
Comparability — Sri Lanka [top]
The 1987 Sri Lanka questionnaire asked women who indicated the ORS packet should be mixed with 1 liter of water how they measure the water. Response categories included 2.5 soda water bottles, 1 1/3 bottles arrack, 5 tea cups, and 1 liter vessel. Each of these container and amount combinations should equal 1 liter.
