Description
FCDPERF_ALL (G124_x) indicates who performed the daughter's (FCDINDEX_ALL) circumcision.
FCDPERF_ALL consists of a set of up to eight separate variables, covering the respondent's youngest daughter (FCDPERF_01) up to her oldest daughter in the age range for the female circumcision variables (FCDPERF_08). IF FCDPERF_ALL is included in a data extract, all of these variables are included in a researcher's data file.
Comparability
Along with universe differences, the responses to FCDPERF_ALL (G124_x) vary across samples.
The harmonized coding categories in the IPUMS-DHS variable FCDPERF_ALL were constructed to reflect the major and minor categories in the original DHS variable (G124_x). The major categories are:
- 100: Health professionals
- 200: Traditional practitioners
The second and third digits distinguish between specific individuals and provide detail present in only some samples.
Please refer to the Universe tab for more information about universe differences across samples.
Comparability - Standard DHS
FCDPERF_ALL (G124_x) is a standard recode variable included in Phase VI forward of the standard DHS questionnaire.
