Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, DELDRY_01 is largely comparable.
Some samples include information about the number of minutes after birth the child was dried. IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding to accommodate these variables. The first digit indicates whether the child was dried within minutes after birth. The second digit specifies how many minutes after birth the child was dried.
Comparability - Standard DHS
DELDRY_01 is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire, but it is included in the standard newborn care module for Phase VII.
