DELUMBTROINT_ALL variables are 1-digit variables.
0 = No
1 = Yes
7 = Don't know
8 = Missing
9 = NIU (not in universe)
Description
DELUMBTROINT_ALL indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the respondent reported that ointment or powder was applied to the stump of her child's umbilical cord.
DELUMBTROINT_ALL consists of a set of six separate variables, covering the most recent birth (DELUMBTROINT_01) up to the sixth-most-recent birth (i.e., DELUMBTROINT_02, DELUMBTROINT_03, DELUMBTROINT_04, DELUMBTROINT_05, and DELUMBTROINT_06) during the reference period prior to the survey. If DELUMBTROINT_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.
For most surveys, this information was collected for only the most recent birth (DELUMBTROINT_01). Surveys in which the data were collected for additional births are noted in the comparability section.
