HCFSZ2 indicates whether the female respondent reported some other religious/mission facility as a source for female condoms. The meaning of "other" depends on the sources for female condoms specified in a given sample. This response category is country-specific to Eswatini/Swaziland.

Some samples in the "HCF" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

HCFSZ2 is combined with HCFSZ1 (religious/mission hospital) in HCFPRIVMIS (all religious/mission facilities or organizations) for the 2006 Eswatini/Swaziland sample.

Comparability

HCFSZ2 has no comparability problems.

Comparability - Standard DHS

An open-ended question on known sources for female condoms is included in the standard DHS questionnaire in Phases IV forward, in countries where female condoms are actively promoted.

HCFSZ2 and the related variable HCFPRIVMIS, which combines HCFSZ2 with other responses to encompass all religious/mission facilities, are country-specific and not included in the standard DHS questionnaire.
