Description

AGEFRSTMAR2 reports the woman's age at the start of her first marriage or union. This usually refers to when the woman first started to live with her first husband or partner.

Unlike the related variable AGEFRSTMAR (V511), which is calculated from the date of the female respondent's first marriage or union and the female respondent's date of birth, AGEFRSTMAR2 is asked directly of female respondents.
