Description
AIDSINFORADIOYN indicates whether, in response to a closed-ended question, the respondent agreed the radio was a source of information on HIV/AIDS.
The related variable AIDSINFORADIO indicates whether the respondent reported the radio as a source of information in response to an open-ended question.
Comparability
AIDSINFORADIOYN varies slightly across samples in question wording. In some samples, this question asks whether the woman has ever heard information about HIV/AIDS from the radio. Other surveys specify a reference period, such as the last month, for hearing about HIV/AIDS.
