Description

For women who gave birth in the last three to five years, ANCAREABD_ALL indicates whether her abdomen was examined or palpated at least once during antenatal care.

ANCAREABD_ALL consists of separate variables, covering the most recent birth (ANCAREABD_01) and, in some cases, additional births, up to, potentially, the sixth most recent birth (i.e., ANCAREABD_02, ANCAREABD_03, ANCAREABD_04, ANCAREABD_05, and ANCAREABD_06). For most surveys, this information on whether the pregnant woman's abdomen was examined was collected for only the most recent birth; exceptions are noted in the comparability section.
