For women who gave birth in the last 5 years, ANCARECGOBD6_ALL indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care for pregnancy complications at an NGO static clinic. This response category is country-specific to Bangladesh.
ANCARECGOBD6_ALL consists of a set of up to six separate variables, covering the most recent birth (ANCARECGOBD6_01) up to the sixth-most-recent birth (i.e., ANCARECGOBD6_02, ANCARECGOBD6_03, ANCARECGOBD6_04, ANCARECGOBD6_05, and ANCARECGOBD6_06) during the reference period prior to the survey. If ANCARECGOBD6_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.
Some samples in the "ANCARECGO" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
ANCARECGOBD6_ALL is combined with ANCARECGOBD7_ALL (NGO satellite clinic) and ANCARECGOBD8_ALL (other NGO) in ANCARECGONGO_ALL (all NGOs) for the 2007 Bangladesh samples.
