For women who gave birth in the last five years, ANCAREMW2_01 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported that a doctor/clinical officer gave antenatal care (for the last birth). This response category is country-specific to Malawi.

Comparability — Malawi [top]
The 2000, 2004, and 2010 Malawi samples include "doctor/clinical officer" as a response category. The 2016 Malawi sample includes "doctor/clinical officer/medical assistant" as a response category. This overlaps with ANCAREMW1_01, which indicates whether a clinical officer or medical assistant provided antenatal care.
To maximize comparability, users may wish to consolidate responses to ANCAREDOC_01 (M2A_1), ANCAREMW1_01, and ANCAREMW2_01.
