For women who gave birth in the last five years and who received antenatal care during their most recent pregnancy, ANCPRIVMOB_01 (M57N_1) indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported receiving care at a private mobile clinic.
IPUMS-DHS users should be careful to distinguish ANCPRIVMOB_01 from ANCPUBMOB_01 (public mobile clinic).
Comparability
Apart from universe differences, ANCPRIVMOB_01 (M57N_1) is largely comparable across samples. Most commonly, this response category is organized under the "Private Medical Sector" header and is worded as "mobile clinic."
Comparability - Standard DHS
ANCPRIVMOB_01 (M57N_1) is included in the standard DHS questionnaire for Phase V. Although this response category is removed from the standard DHS questionnaire in Phase VI, it is still included in a number of Phase VI samples.
