Description
ANMALTRAD_ALL indicates whether the female respondent took traditional medicine to prevent malaria while pregnant.
For surveys that collected these data on multiple births during the reference period, ANMALTRAD_ALL consists of a set of five separate variables, covering the most recent birth (ANMALTRAD_01) up to the fifth-most-recent birth (i.e., ANMALTRAD_02, ANMALTRAD_03, ANMALTRAD_04, and ANMALTRAD_05) during the reference period prior to the survey. If ANMALTRAD_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.
For surveys including this information on only the most recent birth (ANMALTRAD_01), adding ANMALTRAD_ALL to a data extract will add only the single variable ANMALTRAD_01 to the researcher's customized data file.
See country-specific comparability for information on which surveys collected this information on all births, up to a maximum of five, in the reference period.
