Description

ATMM3 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported Population Services International/Myanmar (PSI/M) as a place to be tested for the AIDS virus. This response category is country-specific to Myanmar.

Some samples in the "AT" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS-DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

ATMM3 is combined with ATMM1 (Marie Stopes International), ATMM2 (Myanmar Red Cross), ATMM4 (Myanmar Medical Association), and ATMM5 (other NGO) in ATNGO (all NGOs) for the 2015 Myanmar sample. Comparability - Standard DHS

An open-ended question about where one can get tested for the AIDS virus is included in Phase V forward of the standard DHS questionnaire.

Although ATMM3 is a country-specific response not included in the standard DHS modules, it is combined with other responses in ATNGO, a standard variable that encompasses all NGOs as potential sources for an AIDS test.
