Description
ATTD5 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported the (public sector) National or Sectoral Program Against AIDS (PNLS or PSLS) as a source for testing for HIV. This response category is country-specific to Chad.
Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, ATTD5 has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question about where one can get tested for HIV is included in Phase V forward of the standard DHS questionnaire. ATTD5 is a country-specific response category.
Universe
- Chad 2004: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS, have never been tested for HIV/AIDS, and who know of a place to be tested.
- Chad 2014: Women age 15-49 who have heard of HIV/AIDS and have never been tested for HIV/AIDS, in households selected for the men's survey.
