Description

CABLETV indicates whether the household had cable TV access, generally phrased as "Does your household have a subscription to CANAL?" CANAL is an international subscription TV service with multiple TV and radio stations in French; CANAL+ includes channels in additional languages, such as English.

The related variable TV5 indicates whether the household had "a TV5 antenna," which delivers live satellite television.
