CDPLAYWHO reports who, if anyone, played with the female respondent's youngest surviving and co-resident child age 3-4 in the past 3 days.
Most surveys asking child development questions included separate dichotomous variables about whether the child's mother (CDPLAYMA), father (CDPLAYPA), other person (CDPLAYOTH), or no one (CDPLAYNONE) named, counted, or drew things with the child. In CDPLAYWHO, all of this information is included in a single variable.
