Most samples ask a single question about whether the selected child cooked, washed dishes, or cleaned house in the previous week, covered by the variable CHLHHCOOK. CHLHHDISHES asks separately about dishwashing duties.

Comparability - Standard DHS

CHLHHDISHES is not included in any phase of the standard DHS household questionnaire. This variable is a country-specific variable, but it is similar to other questions included the standard child labor module for Phase VII.
