Codes and Frequencies
Description
CONUSNREGYNOT reports why a condom was not used the last time the woman had sexual intercourse with a non-regular partner.
Comparability
In addition to slight differences in question wording, the response categories in CONUSNREGYNOT vary across samples.
To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding, with the first digit denoting broad categories (e.g., "Access problems" have a first digit of "1"), while the second digit provides additional detail, when available. For example, a code of "12" indicates "Not available."
Comparability - Standard DHS
CONUSNREGYNOT is a country-specific variable not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
