Description
DELTRANFW_ALL indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the female respondent reported that a fieldworker arranged transportation to take the woman to the health facility for delivery.
DELTRANFW_ALL consists of a set of up to six separate variables, covering the most recent birth (DELTRANFW_01) up to the sixth-most-recent birth (i.e., DELTRANFW_02, DELTRANFW_03, DELTRANFW_04, DELTRANFW_05, and DELTRANFW_06) during the reference period prior to the survey. If DELTRANFW_ALL is included in a data extract, all these separate variables are included in a researcher's data file.
Some samples in the "DELTRAN" series include categories that can be consolidated into a single response. IPUMS DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable while preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.

In the 2019 India survey, there are two separate categories for "accredited social health activist (ASHA)" and "health worker." Because DELTRANFW_ALL focuses on all fieldworkers, these two responses are consolidated in this variable to create a more comprehensive response category. For researchers interested in preserving these country-specific categories:

- India 2019: Women age 15-49 who gave birth at least twice in the 5 years before the survey, delivered the second-to-last born child in a health facility, and did not travel on foot to the health facility.
