- Bangladesh 2018: Ever-married women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 3 years before the survey and who did not deliver in a health facility.
- Liberia 2019: Women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey and who did not deliver in a health facility.
- Morocco 2003: Women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey.
- Nepal 2006: Women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, who did not deliver in a health facility, and did not use a special safe delivery kit.
- Nepal 2011: Women age 15-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, who did not deliver in a health facility, and did not use a special safe delivery kit.
