Description

DURMARHUSB1 reports the length (in years) of the female respondent's first marriage or cohabitation. If the marriage is still ongoing, the length of time spent married is reported up until the date of the survey. If the woman is no longer with her first husband/partner, the total length of time spent in her first marriage is reported.

DURMARHUSB1 differs from the related variable DURMARGRP (V513), which reports the number of years elapsed since the woman's first marriage or cohabiting union until the survey date of the interview, regardless of whether the respondent is still married or in union with her first partner.
