For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, DVEANY indicates whether they were ever insulted, humiliated, or otherwise emotionally hurt by anyone other than a husband/partner since age 15.

DVEANY has no comparability problems.

DVEANY is neither included in the standard DHS questionnaire for any phase nor in any version of the standard domestic violence module.
