Description

For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, DVEPOL indicates whether they were ever insulted, humiliated, or otherwise emotionally hurt by the police or a soldier since age 15.

DVEPOL has no comparability problems.

Comparability - Standard DHS

DVEPOL is neither included in the standard DHS questionnaire for any phase nor in any version of the standard domestic violence module.

Universe

  • Zimbabwe 2005: Women age 15-49 who were selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, and who have not experienced physical violence from someone other than a husband/partner since age 15.
