Description
DVHNOOTH indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported she did not seek help for physical or sexual abuse for some other reason. The meaning of "other" must be interpreted relative to the specific categories included in a particular sample.
Universe
- Angola 2015: Women age 15-49 who were selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, and who have experienced physical violence since age 15, while pregnant, or at any time from their current/former husband/partner, or sexual violence at any time, and who never sought help for the violence.
- Pakistan 2017: Ever-married women age 15-49 who were selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module, and who have experienced physical violence since age 15, while pregnant, or at any time from their current/former husband, or sexual violence at any time, and who never told anyone about the violence.
