For women who were randomly selected and interviewed for the domestic violence module and had ever been pregnant, DVPREGSTRANM (D118XAM) indicates whether they had been physically hurt by a male stranger during a pregnancy.

Comparability - Standard DHS
A question asking about violence while pregnant from a stranger is included in phase IV of the standard form of the DHS domestic violence module. However, the question specifying a male stranger was not included in any version of the standard form of the DHS domestic violence module.
