Women who agreed with the FCCTRAD or FCCUSTTRAD variables (female circumcision should continue because it is a good tradition or because it is a custom and tradition, respectively) were asked in an open-ended question to explain what was meant by a good tradition. FCGTOTHER captures whether they mentioned the practice is a good tradition due to some other reason not covered by the specific response categories for a sample.
