Description
FCINFECTDAU (FG117D) indicates whether the woman's daughter experienced an infection in the genital area or had a wound that did not heal properly as a complication of female circumcision.
The related variable FCCOMPINFECT indicates whether the woman respondent experienced infection or improper healing as a complication of her own circumcision.

Apart from universe differences and slight differences in question wording, FCINFECTDAU (FG117D) is comparable across most samples. Some samples, noted below, mentioned only "infection in the genital area" for this variable and stored information about to failure to heal properly in a separate variable, FCHEALDAU.
