Description
For women whose first method of contraception was a modern contraceptive method, FP1METHSRC (V370) reports the type of facility providing that first contraceptive method.
The related variable FP1METHSRCS (V371) reports the type of facility providing the respondent's first contraceptive method, in standardized categories.

Along with universe differences, the response categories for FP1METHSRC vary across samples.
The harmonized coding categories in the IPUMS-DHS variable FP1METHSRC were constructed to reflect the major and minor categories in the original DHS variable (V370). The major categories are:
- 100: Public sector
- 200: Private medical sector
- 300: Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
- 400: Religious/mission facilities
- 500: Other
