Comparability
Along with slight universe differences, variations in question wording for FPFILMHR potentially limit comparability.
Sometimes the question referred to seeing or hearing family planning messages in a film/video "in the last few months"; in other cases, a specific reference period, such as 6 months, was given.
Varying time intervals could lead to variation in the frequency of responses. Researchers interested in using FPFILMHR should take the reference period into consideration when comparing across samples. See Survey Text.
Comparability - Standard DHS
