Description
FPNEIGHHR indicates whether the woman has recently heard about family planning from a neighbor.
Comparability
Due to differences in question wording, FPNEIGHHR is not fully comparable across samples. Some surveys refer to neighbors only, while others refer to neighbors and others (such as relatives). The reference period also varies across samples, sometimes referring to the previous few months and other times specifying a number of months (such as one month). See Survey Text for details.
Comparability - Standard DHS
FPNEIGHHR is a country-specific variable not included in the standard DHS questionnaire.
