Description
For women who are not currently using a method of contraception and are at risk of pregnancy, FPYNOTINFHUS indicates whether they reported "infecund partner" in response to an open-ended question about reasons for not using contraception.
Comparability
FPYNOTINFHUS has no comparability issues.
In the universe, the meaning of at risk of pregnancy varies across samples. For samples in FPYNOTINFHUS, women were considered to be at risk of pregnancy if they were not infecund, not sterilized, and not pregnant at the time of the interview.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question about reasons for not using contraception is included in Phase IV forward of the standard DHS questionnaire, though FPYNOTINFHUS is a country-specific response and is not included in the standard DHS modules.
