Description
For women with fistula that did not occur after delivery, FSAFTASSAULT indicates whether the condition occurred after sexual assault.
When children are chosen as the unit of analysis, the woman respondent indicates the mother of the child.
Comparability
FSAFTASSAULT has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
Questions about fistula are not included in the standard DHS questionnaire. Though FSAFTASSAULT is not included in the Standard DHS Module on fistula, the module does include an open-ended question about the cause of fistula for women whose fistula did not start after delivery (see FSAFTALL).
