Description
FSHOUSEANY indicates whether any women in the female respondent's household suffer from obstetric fistula.
When children are chosen as the unit of analysis, the woman respondent indicates the mother of the child.
Comparability
Apart from universe differences, FSHOUSEANY has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
Questions about fistula were not included in the standard DHS questionnaire. The Standard DHS module on fistula does not ask about other women in the household with obstetric fistula.

- Ethiopia 2005: Women age 15-49 who have heard of fistula.
- Nigeria 2008: Women age 15-49 who have heard of fistula but have not experienced fistula.
- Nigeria 2018: Women age 15-49 in households not selected for hemoglobin measurement, who have experienced a fistula and sought treatment.
