Comparability
In addition to universe differences and slight differences in question wording, FSSUPPORT varies in the number of response categories. To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding, with "No" responses having a first digit of "0," and "Yes" responses having a first digit of "1." The second digit provides more detail when this additional information is available.
Comparability - Standard DHS
FSSUPPORT is a country-specific variable, and it is included in neither any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire nor any phase of the standard DHS module on fistula.
