GEOALT_MG2013 indicates the region of Madagascar where the respondent was interviewed. DHS regions in GEOALT_MG2013 are equivalent to malaria operational strata areas.

GEOALT_MG2013 is a country- and sample-specific variable and has no comparability issues.
