Description

GEO_ GN2005_2021 reports the region of Guinea where the respondent was interviewed. The variable is integrated to yield units with consistent boundaries across samples.

Labels identify the modern geographic units (regions) contained in each integrated region. Each sample also has its own non-integrated geography variable. Additional integrated variables, GEO_GN1999_2021 and GEOALT_GN1999_2012, include the 1999 Guinea sample and contain less geographic detail.

Comparability

The Guinea 1999 sample is excluded from GEO_GN2005_2021 due to inconsistent boundaries.

The 2021 sample corresponds to Malaria Indicators Surveys (MIS).
