GEO_SL2016 (V101_SL2016) reports the region of Sierra Leone where the respondent was interviewed. DHS units in the 2016 Sierra Leone survey are equivalent to provinces.

Other sample years have their own sample-specific geography variables.

Comparability - Standard DHS

GEO_SL2016, like other V101 variables, is a geographic variable added during processing of the DHS data. V101 (and the equivalent variables MV101 for men and HV024 for household members) are included in all Phases of the DHS.
