HCFOTHDRUG indicates whether the woman reported an informal drug or street vendor as a source for female condoms.

Users should be careful to distinguish this variable from HCFPUBDRUG and HCFPRIVDRUG, variables that refer to public drug sources and private, formal drug sources, respectively.

Comparability

Comparability - Standard DHS

An open-ended question on known sources for female condoms is included in the standard DHS questionnaire in Phase IV forward. HCFOTHDRUG is country-specific and not part of the standard DHS questionnaire.
