HCRW6 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, the woman reported she has sought medical help at a private dispensary. This variable is country-specific to Rwanda.

Some samples in the "HC" series include multiple categories that can be consolidated into a single broad response. IPUMS DHS uses supplemental programming to combine these responses in a standard variable, while also preserving the separate responses in country-specific variables.
