Codes and Frequencies
Description
HFSATISFIED indicates whether the female respondent was satisfied with recent health care service.
Comparability
In addition to universe differences and slight differences in question wording, HFSATISFIED differs across samples in the number of response categories.
To maximize comparability, IPUMS-DHS uses composite coding, with "No, dissatisfied" responses having a first digit of "1" and "Yes, satisfied" responses having a first digit of "2." The second digit distinguishes between, "Very dissatisfied" (code "11") and "Dissatisfied" (code "12"), and between "Fairly satisfied" (code "21") and "Very satisfied" (code "22"), when this this additional information.
Comparability - Standard DHS
HFSATISFIED is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
