In addition to universe differences, HUSEDYRJO differs across samples in the available education level categories, largely due to changes in the Jordan educational system.
Because HUSEDYRJO reports the number of years of schooling at the highest level achieved, "4 years" does not mean 4 years total, but 4 years at whichever level of education the respondent achieved, within the Jordan educational system. Thus, a code of 4 could indicate 4 years of primary school, a high school degree, or a bachelor's degree, for example. Comparability - Standard DHS
A question about the highest year of education the respondent has completed is included in every phase of the standard DHS questionnaire. HUSEDYRJO is a country-specific variable.
