Universe
- Pakistan 1991: Women age 15-49 who have no education or whose highest level of education was primary school and who can read easily or with difficulty.
- Yemen 1991: Ever-married women age 15-54 who have no education or whose highest level of education was less than 4 years of primary school and who can read.
