Comparability - Standard DHS
MLSRCCFW is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
Comparability — Madagascar [top]
The 2021 Madagascar survey has two separate categories for "community health worker visit" and "CIP worker." Because MLSRCCFW focuses on all community health workers, these two responses are consolidated in this variable to create a more comprehensive response category.
Comparability — Nigeria [top]
The 2010 Nigeria survey has three separate categories for "community health worker", "community role model", and "community oriented resource person", which are combined into this variable.
The 2015 Nigeria survey has two separate categories for "community health extension worker" and "community directed distributor ", which are combined into this variable.
Comparability — Tanzania [top]
Note that the 2017 Tanzania survey does not have a consistent universe across the variables related to source of malaria messages.
