MLTRELASTRX is largely comparable across samples. See below for more information.
For some samples, noted below, the survey included information specifying whether the malaria medication was taken with or without a prescription. To accommodate this detail, IPUMS DHS uses composite coding. All "yes" responses share a first digit code of "1"; the second digit distinguishes between whether the medication was taken with a prescription (coded "11") or without a prescription (coded "12").
