For women who had symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection in the past 12 months, STIADIA10 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported seeking advice or treatment from some "other" public sector health worker for this problem. This response category is country-specific to India.
Comparability
STIADIA10 has no comparability problems.
Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question about where the woman received advice/treatment for an STI is included in Phases III, V and VI forward of the standard DHS questionnaire. STIADIA10 is a country-specific response not included in the standard DHS module.

- India 2005: Women age 15-49 who have ever had sex and who had symptoms of sexually transmitted infection in the last 12 months.
