For women who had symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection in the past 12 months, STIADML10 indicates whether, in response to an open-ended question, they reported seeking advice or treatment from a "private STI care center" for this problem. This response category is country-specific to Mali.

Comparability - Standard DHS
An open-ended question about where the woman received advice/treatment for an STI is included in Phases III, V and VI forward of the standard DHS questionnaire. STIADML10 is a country-specific response not included in the standard DHS module.
Universe
- Mali 2006: Women age 15-49 who have had sex, and who had an STI, abnormal genital discharge, or genital ulcer/sore in the past 12 months.
