Comparability
Apart from universe differences and slight variation in question wording, STIPCONDOM (V773B) is largely comparable across samples. However, while most surveys used a yes/no question format to collect this information, a minority asked an open-ended question ("What did you do?") and recorded all responses. Only samples with potential comparability issues are discussed below.
Comparability - Standard DHS
STIPCONDOM (V773B) is not a part of the standard DHS questionnaire.
Comparability — Central African Republic [top]

Unlike most samples, Togo 1998 used an open-ended question format to determine what the woman did to avoid infecting her sexual partner with an STI.
Comparability — Zimbabwe [top]
Unlike most samples, Zimbabwe 1999 used an open-ended question format to determine what the woman did to avoid infecting her sexual partner with an STI.
