Description
TETNUS1DAY reports the day of the month that the female respondent received her first tetanus toxoid immunization.
The complementary variables TETNUS1MO and TETNUS1YR report the month and the year of the female respondent's first tetanus toxoid immunization, as recorded on a vaccination card shown to the interviewer.
Comparability
TETNUS1DAY has no comparability problems.
While all samples in TETNUS1DAY use the Gregorian calendar, certain countries use country-specific calendars. These countries (noted below) are excluded from TETNUS1DAY but are included in country-specific variables.
- Nepal uses the uses the Vikram Samvat: TETNUS1DAY_NP
TETNUS1DAY is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
Universe
- Bangladesh 2000: Ever-married women age 10-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, who received at least one tetanus injection and whose first tetanus injection date was on their tetanus injection card.
