Description
TETNUS3DAY reports the day of the month that the female respondent received her third tetanus toxoid immunization.
The complementary variables TETNUS3MO and TETNUS3YR report the month and the year of the female respondent's third tetanus toxoid immunization, as recorded on a vaccination card shown to the interviewer.
Comparability
TETNUS3DAY has no comparability problems.
While all samples in TETNUS3DAY use the Gregorian calendar, certain countries use country-specific calendars. These countries (noted below) are excluded from TETNUS3DAY but are included in country-specific variables.
- Nepal uses the uses the Vikram Samvat: TETNUS3DAY_NP
TETNUS3DAY is a country-specific variable, and it is not included in any phase of the standard DHS questionnaire.
Universe
- Bangladesh 2000: Ever-married women age 10-49 who gave birth in the 5 years before the survey, who received at least two tetanus injections and whose second tetanus injection date was on their tetanus injection card.
